Bishop of Dover

Suffragan bishop of the diocese of Canterbury in the Church of England. Unlike the other 3 suffragans in the diocese, he holds the additional title of "Bishop in Canterbury" and is empowered to act almost as if he were the diocesan bishop of Canterbury, since the actual diocesan bishop (the Archbishop of Canterbury) is so frequently away fulfilling national and international duties.
The role is currently held by Stephen Venner.
