Originally (or nearly originally) from Cumbria, now in London, having lived in Cambridge, Zaragoza and Stroud for varying lengths of time.

Mostly interested in geographical topics, especially the mountains of Great Britain. From time to time I have attempted to revise the pronunciations for Gaelic hill names; a very out-of-date list of these can be found here. A more worthwhile enterprise is WikiProject British and Irish hills, which I founded.

Having wasted far too much time on Wikipedia in the past, and having rather less wastable time now than I used to, I intend to drastically cut back on my Wiki activities from now on (but may not succeed).
