Bloodvein River
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bloodvein River is a pristine river on the East side of Lake Winnipeg, in Manitoba, Canada, with no logging roads nearby. Many native locals and tourists enjoy canoeing and fishing in this river. Swimming in this river is pleasant in the summer because of the warmer water compared to mountain stream fed rivers. First Nation peoples have used the river for centuries, and petroglyphs can be found on some shoreline cliffs. This very clean and warm water river drains from the Canadian Shield into Lake Winnipeg. It will potentially be a part of a United Nations World Heritage Site and park.
