Talk:Brent Lee Morel
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This page was deleted without comment. I would like for this to remain as a piece of history for others to know of a young Marine that gave his life for his country and received the Navy Cross for Valor in doing so. Swump 14:35, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- Please be advised that Wikipedia is not a memorial. Capt Morel rates a page here because he is the recipient of the US's secong highest award for valor. Please keep the language and tone encyclopedic and less like a tribute piece from the newspaper and you will have no problems. Good examples of other [[Navy Cross] recipients with pages that look similiar to what Capt Morel's will, include Brian Chontosh and Ernest Ivy Thomas, Jr.. Hope this helps--Looper5920 18:48, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, essentially all I had at the time it was deleted was what is there now, plus the Navy Cross Citation. I would like to re-ad th Navy cross citation, but more importantly , recover a more recent version that has the cross references others help develop, that were deleted. I just resent the page being deleted in it's entirety, with no notification to the original author. I hope things are resolved now.

re: Brent Morel - wondering why the Navy Cross picture was removed. As far as references being changed from a table back to the old format, It was my intent to add more links in a neat way in a table, instead of having them run down the left side of the page.
As far as removing the EGA, Chesty Puller will visit you. Semper Fi Swump 07:05, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
