Brian Adias
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Brian Adias was a professional wrestler best known for his time in World Class Championship Wrestling.
[edit] Career
Brian Adias (born Brian Gower) started wrestling in 1979 in the NWA's Jim Crockett Promotions. He went by the name of Brian Adidas. Adias moved on to World Class Championship Wrestling in the 1980's and made a name for himself there. At first, he was a baby-face and often teamed with Kerry Von Erich but he eventually turned heel and feuded with Von Erich and his brothers. He formed a tag team with Al Madril and they won the tag team titles.
When WCCW folded, he wrestled for the Global Wrestling Federation and several independent promotions in Texas until the late 1990's, when he wrestled for NWA Southwest. Adias retired in 2000.
Brian is a legitimate longtime friend of the Adkisson family, who went to high school with Kerry while growing up in Denton.
