Brian McGrattan (born September 2, 1981, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada)[1] is a professional ice hockey player for the NHL's Ottawa Senators. McGrattan is an enforcer who made a solid reputation for himself, particularly during the American Hockey League's 2004-2005 season when he established an all-time league record for penalty minutes in a single season (551). Although he's has just begun his career in the NHL, he is already predicted by many to quickly become a top league enforcer. McGrattan famously defeated Tie Domi during a fight. He scored his first goal against Martin Brodeur of the New Jersey Devils and his second against the Atlanta Thrashers.
He played for six teams in the OHL from 1997 to 2002.
In the 2006-07 season, though he only had 2 assists, he usually remained as a healthy scratch, which only he would dress to replace injured teammates.
