Brighton Beach is a station on the BMT Brighton Line of the New York City Subway. It is located over Brighton Beach Avenue at Brighton 6th Street in the community of Brighton Beach on Coney Island in Brooklyn.
Brighton Beach station is the terminal of the B service (Brighton Beach–6th Avenue Express) weekdays, and a way station for the Q service (Brighton Beach Local–Broadway Express) at all times.
Between this station and Ocean Parkway, the line becomes six tracks. The local and express tracks split into an extra storage track in-between them in both directions. These tracks are commonly used for storing B trains when they don't operate and end at a bumper next to the Ocean Parkway platform.
