Bud Yorkin

Bud Yorkin (born in Washington, Pennsylvania on February 22, 1926) is an American film producer, director, writer and actor. He directed and produced the innovative 1958 TV special An Evening With Fred Astaire, which won nine Emmy Awards.
In the 1970s, Yorkin teamed up with Norman Lear to form Tandem Productions, which produced many of the decade's hit sitcoms, such as All in the Family, Maude, Good Times, Sanford and Son, One Day at a Time, and Diff'rent Strokes (which was done after Yorkin left Tandem).
Yorkin directed The Thief Who Came to Dinner.
After his split with Lear, Yorkin went on to form Toy Productions with Saul Turteltaub and Bernie Orenstein (who produced Sanford and Son with Yorkin and Lear), but their only hit was What's Happening!!.
