[edit] the Kuni family of Cuman tribe
They were of a Kipchak and Cuman descent, other name Polovchi, from what now is Ukraine and then Old Great Bulgaria, but because Bulgar classification is not known, their relation are unclear, other than these two peoples were separate but lived in same Sarmatian regions
Elisabeth of Kuni's pedigree:
her father is Kuthen of Kuni, khan of Cumans, son of Suthoi of Kuni, khan of Cumans.
and mother is a daughter of Mstislav Jaroslavich of Halych, son of Grand Prince Jaroslav II Izyaslavich.
Her descent is in western royalty, chiefly through her daughter Maria, queen of Sicily
[edit] Viola, Duchess of Silesia
A lady Viola, from Bulgaria, said to be daughter of king Ivan (who? Ivan Asen I???) married Casimir of Silesia, Duke of Opole in c 1200. For example the wife of king Wladislaus the Short is among her descendants, and thus Emperor Sigismund etc.
Name Viola recurs some times in Silesian princesses.

[edit] legendary branches
Legendarily, Bela I of Hungary could have been son of that wife of his father Vazul who was daughter of Tsar Samuel of Bulgaria
Possibly, Boleslaw II of Poland's mother Jutta of Bohemia descended from Andrew I of Hungary, brother of Bela I.
Miroslawa, wife of Ashot Taronites, was a daughter of Kometopuli family, possibly sister or daughter of Samuel. Taronites issued Dukes of Cyprus, from whom a brood of Komneni: for example, the queen of Jerusalem and wife of Ibelin, and her sister the wife of lord Bethsan.
An ancestress of the Nemanja may have been a daughter of Tsar Gabriel Radomir
These are reasons why Cyprus, Nemanjic, Piast and Arpad dynasties were close to Bulgaria's later tsars, as legendary cadet descendants of original Bulgarian dynasty. Maed 16:00, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
