Burbiškis is a village in northern Lithuania, between Šiauliai and Panevėžys. Burbiškis features a neogothic manor house of the Bażeński family surrounded by a park with a monuments of Adam Mickiewicz (erected in 1912) and Vytautas the Great. At the entrance to the manor there is a statute of Saint Mary, foundation of which is a stone with a "footstep of Mary". Most probably it was used by pagans as a holy place.
Kornel Makuszyński lived in Burbiškis with his wife in 1912-1914.
