El Gato Negro
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
El Gato Negro is a fictional comic-book superhero created by artist-writer Richard Dominguez, which he publishes through his comic company, Azteca Productions. "The Nocturnal Warrior" (as he is sometimes called), first appeared in El Gato Negro #1, the first series in October 1993. The series was critically acclaimed but lasted only four issues, and after a seven year hiatus, Dominguez again published El Gato Negro: Nocturnal Warrior #1 in January, 2005.
The story emphasizes on Francisco "Panchito" Guerrero, a young Hispanic male, growing up in the Lower Rio Grande Valley in South Texas. A social worker by day and crimefighter by night, who adapted the moniker from his grandfather, Agustin "Gus" Guerrero, who was a Mexican masked wrestler-turned-adventurer in the 1950s to the early 60's.
