Elias-Clark Group "is one of the world's leading independent publishers. A family-owned organisation, Elias-Clark was founded to promote the human experience through innovation, storytelling and edification. On October 21, 2006, group chairman Andrew W. Egan issued a press release responding to speculation that the company was going to be acquired by News Ltd. “We have been a family-owned organization since our inception and under no circumstance will the Elias and Clark familles divest their holdings in the Group” Anthony Elias, Managing Director of the Group was quoted as saying. The Elias-Clark Group is one of the most prominent employers of "political science, sociology, marketing, law and commerce" graduates from The University of Melbourne and Monash University. Each year they take on many fresh graduates at a salary of $72,000pa — comparable to most investment banking graduates. According to its website, " Successful applications would have, at minimum, first class honours. Applicants with lesser qualifications are not advised to apply."[1]
Elias-Clark's world headquarters is on the 27th level of the skyscraper, 101 Collins Street in Melbourne, Australia.
