Epsom & Ewell F.C.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Epsom & Ewell F.C. are a football club now based in Tadworth, Surrey, England. They were established in 1917 as Epsom Town F.C. In 1960, Epsom Town F.C. merged with Ewell and Stoneleigh F.C. and were renamed Epsom & Ewell F.C. In the 1977-78 season, they became champions of the Isthmian League Second Division. In 1975 they reached the final of the FA Vase.
In the early 1990's Epsom & Ewell moved from their West Street Ground in Ewell when the land was sold to Housing developers. Since this time Epsom & Ewell have been tenants of Banstead Athletic and shared the Merland Rise Ground, Tadworth.
In the 2005-06 season they played in the Isthmian League Division Two but as a result of the restructuring of non-league football they have been moved sideways to the Combined Counties Football League Premier Division where they will play in 2006-07.
Previous players include: Scottish International Matt Elliott, Mickey Cook, Nick Cawthorne
