[edit] Intro
A relatively new user of Wikipedia. I am working on a better format of my userpage. You can get an idea of the articles I read (and and occasionally contribute to) from my userboxes.
Claim to notability, I was recently selected as the Time person of the year 2006. Something that has been long overdue.
[edit] Wikipedia musings
Stuff in my opinion are the greatest threats to Wikipedia.
- Vandalism, and subtle vandalism disguised at facts (lots are not caught if ever).
- Wishy washy policies - example: WP:FU, leading to Wikipedia talk:Fair use gabfests. Wikipedia is full of contradictions, Wikipedia:Five pillars but you have Wikipedia:Ignore all rules as one of the pillars. In which case, why are we arguing about subtle shades of degrees of fair use when you basically you can sweep it all aside with WP:IAR? Either you ban ALL fair use images or permit ALL fair use images (images as decorations be damned), the middle ground is useless and is just fertile breeding ground for deletionists or inclusionists kingdom builders.
- Encyclopedia by consensus: In which case, the elephant population throughout the world has tripled in the past 6 months. :)

Good job finding numerous verifiable references for the Mike Tyson article, infusing some credibility into an eternally-controversial page. Pete 00:57, 13 March 2007 (UTC) |
