Fairhills High School, located in Knoxfield, Victoria is a state-government school. The school's mission is "leading all students to be confident and effective life-long learners."
Fairhills High School is renowned within Melbourne[citation needed] for their participation in the Rock Eisteddfod Challenge, a youth cultural event that promotes the natural high for performing with out the need of drugs and alcohol.
Fairhills, as a medium-size school, tries to focus on the individual student.
Fairhills has recently received a technology grant from the government was recently used to install 16 40" LCD screens in various classrooms around the school. This allows the integration of multimedia into everyday lessons.
Construction of a basketball stadium for the school and wider community has been confirmed and will commence soon. Longer term plans for conversion of existing sporting facilities into a performing arts centre also exist.
Fairhills offers many choices for VCE and VCAL subjects.

Fairhills has competed in the Rock Eisteddfod Challenge since 1995, winning in 1996 in the Melbourne open division and placing FIRST in 2005 in the Melbourne premier division (2005 REC Results). Fairhills then went on that year to place Third in the National Event. In 2006, Fairhills finished a close second behind St. Columbus College (2006 REC Results).[citation needed].
