False Dmitriy

False Dmitriy is the term used to denote any pretenders to the Russian throne who claimed to be the son of Ivan the Terrible, Dmitriy, miraculously escaped the assassination attempt. False Dimitriys appeared in the Russian politics during the Time of Troubles.
