[edit] Plot
A clever fox constantly outwits three obnoxious evil farmers who are angry at him for eating their produce.
[edit] Production
As of October 2006, the film is currently being produced under the direction of Wes Anderson, known for co-writing and directing films such as Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums. The film will be shot using stop motion photography, designed by Henry Selick. Selick, who is known for directing the stop motion films The Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach (also a Roald Dahl adaptation), has previously worked with Wes Anderson on the film The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, for which Selick used computer animation to bring fictional sea creatures to life. Recent reports however suggest that Selick has left the project to work on the Neil Gaiman story Coraline.[1]
[edit] Cast
Anjelica Huston and Jason Schwartzman are reported as being cast, although no official statement regarding such has been announced.[2]
On February 23, 2007, The Hollywood Reporter reported that George Clooney and Cate Blanchett are in different stages of talks to voice the lead characters.[3]
On October 25, 2006, Variety reported that the film will mix several forms of animation, primarily stop-motion.[4]
