[edit] Transhumanism
I think the Transhumanism article has been expanded and improved enough since July 2001 to be featured on the home page of Wikipedia. What do the rest of you think? --Loremaster 00:33, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
- It is surely one of the best articles around, it manages to keep a NPOV on this sensitive topic. --User 213.54.82.56
- Poor referencing. -- Schaefer 12:22, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
- Shaefer's more detailed comments were moved to the Referencing section of the Talk:Transhumanism page. --Loremaster 22:18, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

- Shouldn't this discussion be held at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates? I'm new to this process, but I'm not sure why it has a separate page like this. I can't meaningfully support because I have an interest in the article ... having made some substantial edits now and then, though Loremaster certainly deserves most of the credit (or blame <G>). However, I think it's now coming together nicely. The criticisms section might still need some tiny tweaking (just a word changed here or there) to ensure a neutral "feel". Some kind of relevant and appropriately captioned image would also lift it, I think. I do like Loremaster's responsiveness to criticisms and suggestions to date. - There was no discussion until I asked Shaefer a question for my own curiosity. His answer was so long that I felt that it might discourage other users from posting their brief comments on whether or not Transhumanism should be a featured article. This is why I thought moving this discussion to the Talk:Transhumanism page was appropriate. I apologize if some were confused or offended by this action. By the way, altough I am a major editor of the Transhumanism article, I have mostly been working on improving existing material that was previously added by other users. --Loremaster 01:18, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

- Regardless, why does this page exist in the first place? All other nominations for featured articles are listed on Wikipedia:Featured article candidates, not on subpages. -- Schaefer 15:40, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

- Metamagician, Shaefer, I actually did follow the steps.
- Step 2: Place {{fac}} on the talk page of the nominated article.
- When I did this, it created this page, which is normal in order to discuss the nomination in detail.

Let's finish improving the References section before putting the article for judgement. --Loremaster 20:06, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- So does that mean you're still planning to create a heading for it later on at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates? If this page here is just meant to express opinions about whether the article is ready to be put forward, then, yes, I think it probably is after the latest layers of editing. I like the image you've inserted; as long as there's no copyright problem with it, I'm very happy with it. I'll check the article one more time when I get a minute. Metamagician3000 04:11, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- And I now see that quite a few smaller images have been added. All to the good, I think. Metamagician3000 04:17, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

- Yes and thank you. See Images section of the Talk:Transhumanism page. However, the References section still needs to be improved with more dates and author names before taking the big step. --Loremaster 20:57, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

This discussion has now moved to the Talk:Transhumanism page. --Loremaster 23:36, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
