[edit] College Career
While serving primarily as the back-up for 2006 Heisman Trophy runner-up Darren McFadden, Jones has also been used alongside McFadden in the backfield, often having McFadden throw to Jones, while mixing in running plays to throw off defenses.
In the 2006 season, Jones rushed for 1,225 yards and scored 10 touchdowns, including one on a 100-yard kickoff return.[1]
Jones's freshman season was also exceptional as he finished second in the nation in kickoff returns (including a 100-yard return for a touchdown) and was named All-American by CollegeFootballNews.com and a freshman All-American by a number of outlets.[2]
