Here is the list of teams that have finished in the top three in the World Cup. Brazil are the #1 nation in taking the World Cup Trophy. Italy is trailing with 4 and Germany behind them with 3. Germany leads all nations in being steady and unfailing in their World Cup performances. They have reached the semi-finals at a record of 11 times and have won 10 medals for their country. Trailing them are the exciting Brazilians with 9. Germany and Brazil are tied for most appearances in the finals each containing seven. By looking upon these rankings, we can infer that the Germans are the greatest performing nation in the World Cup. (Results could change after future World Cups)
