Fire Power (sometimes Firepower) is a tank action game developed by Silent Software for the Amiga and DOS. It was released in 1988 and published by MicroIllusions. Ports were made for the Atari ST and Commodore 64 systems in 1989.
Gameplay consists of controlling a tank moving through enemy territory. The objective is to capture the flag inside the enemy base, blasting through walls and rescuing prisoners of war. Nonetheless, many players chose to rampage almost randomly around the map. Obstacles include enemy turrets spread around the map, and occasionally a helicopter arrives on the screen.
This game can be played against a human opponent on a split screen, or even through a modem, which was not common in 1988.
Fire Power was given a sequel, Return Fire.
