Flag of Norfolk Island
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The flag of Norfolk Island was adopted on October 21, 1980. It depicts the Norfolk Island Pine (Araucaria heterophylla).
It is somewhat similar to the flag of Canada, with its use of only two colours and the use of a prominent local symbol in the middle. It also has 1:2 size ratio. The central panel though, is not a Canadian pale, which must be half the width of the whole flag (a square); the flag's geometry is that of a more traditional tricolor.
