- I'm not sure but this is a Blue Ensign with the arms of Alberta. It was used to distinguish different brittish colonies, dominions, provinces. Australia has a Blue Ensign for official flag, Canada used to have a Red Ensign. I'm not sure this one was officially used by Alberta.--BarLaf 02:06, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

- There is no evidence it was ever used at all -- officially or unofficially. I should have deleted the image as soon as it appeared in the article, but I marked it as "hypothetical" to avoid hard feelings with the editor who obviously went to a lot of work to draw the flag and upload it.
