[edit] Rhyme or homophone?
Is Semoran a homophone of Cimarron, or does it merely rhyme with Cimarron? The controversy seems to revolve around the vowel in the first syllable; whether it is a near-close near-front unrounded vowel (as in Cimarron) or a close-mid front unrounded vowel (as in Seminole). The pronunciation of Seminole would seem to lead one to the latter conclusion, although local media pronounce it (to my ears, anyway) as the former. Is there a reliable source to resolve this controversy? -- SwissCelt 07:24, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
