[edit] Synopsis
After a spell is cast on Phoebe by the power-hungry sorceress Imara, their souls switch bodies and Phoebe ends up becoming trapped in a cage. Armed with Phoebe's identity and power, Imara attempts to gain control of the Underworld by weakening Zankou, destroying his lieutenants and plotting to kill the Charmed Ones. Phoebe escapes from her prison in Imara's body, but Piper and Paige vanquish her, not realizing that it was Phoebe's soul inside. Meanwhile, Paige is left in a quandary when the novice witch Mitchell, her first charge as a Whitelighter, refuses her help and appears to have been lost to the dark side.

- The episode title is a play on words to the film Freaky Friday where the centered characters also switch bodies.
- The title was also briefly mentioned in the episode Hyde School Reunion.
- Phoebe decides to return to college again, this time for her Master's in Psychology title.
- Paige starts her duties as Whitelighter and gets her first charge.
- Other Charmed episodes which highlighted body switching are: Pardon My Past, Enter the Demon, and The Lost Picture Show.
- This is supposed to be Paige's first charge however Paige is given her first charge Sam (her father) in Sam I Am.
- Mitchell's powers and the effect used are very similar to the DC character The Flash.
- Elise says Phoebe never had troubles with "Ask Phoebe" before, yet in season 5 Phoebe was being sued for bad advice due to her divorce from Cole Turner.
- Leo mentions a Mr. Feeny at Magic School, a reference to Boy Meets World.
