Talk:Fuel (song)

Way, way too much POV in this article, plus the lyrics are copyrighted. Willbyr (talk | contribs) 18:32, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
My only question is: Why are people trying to read too far into the song? They are attributing this song to addiction? Can it be compared to the song "Motorbreath" from "Kill 'em All"? That was a song with out any undertones, strictly about "living in the fast lane" so to speak. Why can't "Fuel" be considered the same way? Who said that every song after "The Black Album" had to have some mysterious undertones about drinking, or drugs, or whatever?
There does seem to be too much POV about the song's theme. An interesting note though is that in Cunning Stunts, James can be seen miming intecting himself in the crook of the elbow as he sings "gimme fuel, gimme fire, gimme that which I desire". So saying the song might have something to do with addiction wouldn't be totally unfounded, but I get the feeling it's not alcohol addiciton, don't you?
