This is very partial to a "linear" concept of time where we learn that"time" is a "place in "space-time".
Surely we have to start with the definition that the future is that which does not exist, indeed has never yet existed, but neverthless will come into existence at the precisely the moment that it realises its fullness. Also known as the fullness in time. Harry Potter
I'm the one that started that page and wrote the linear concept of time thing.. I think it's hard to define something like "future" if we don't accept a linear conception of time (at least referring at short time-scales...just like when we see the ocean as flat when we know it's spheric). This doesn't mean that time must be linear. I just want to point out it's quite hard to define future without this assumption.
I don't see your definition as fully correct,for example. It is hard to say for example that "the future is that which does not exist", because implies a conception of existence that's dependent from the time. If we see the existence as a property out of the timeline (or timecircle,or what),the future exists. Even more difficult is to accept "indeed has never yet existed", because if time is not linear,future already existed,for example! But if time is linear, nothing prevents things in the future to have already occurred in past,at least theoretically. Last,I can't really understand what do you mean by "fullness"...think it's really vague,isn't it?

Future: That which is not manifest in consciousness (i.e not the past, rather events which are forgotten and therefore bound to be repeated) and that which is not manifest at this moment (i.e. not the present).
The future is difficult to discuss in English because the language does not enable its speakers to express future actions. “will” only expresses predictions and “be going to” only expresses intentions. Justin

like waiting up all night for the sun to rise. something you expect, in which you invest hope and an element of faith, but that same something that is so very vague that its concept is fleeting to the human mind. we, as humans, cannot fathom that which we have not already experienced to some degree. and so we can imagine the future as a mere extension of the past and present, but we fear the discontiguous as the future leaps from the now to the then. and what of that break? the future is an inevitable change. so linear. but if the future repeats, then it truly is predictable.

This page needs more about other cultures' views of the future. (In particular some many indigenous American cultures have a circular view of time.) Look peeps. The future will have robot cars and everyone will be outitted wit jetpacks. I saw this in a dream. I think there should be mention of this in the article.
