Gert and Daisy

Gert and Daisy were gynocentric fictional characters who appeared in radio and films during the war years. They often appeared on the BBC Light Programme 'Worker's Playtime', talking about anything and everything, especially their fictitious husbands Bert and Wally.[1]
The characters were played by Florence Elsie Waters born 1893-1990[2] and Doris Waters [3]born 1904-1978 who were the sisters of Horace John Waters[4]born 1895-1981 better known as Jack Warner of Dixon of Dock Green fame.
