Talk:Gianfranco Zola
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The concept of retiring shirt numbers does not exist in English football. --Scarfo
Correct, but it is a fair point to mention that no one has worn 25 at Chelsea since 'Franco left.
[edit] Sources?
Can anybody source Abramovich's attempted takeover of Cagliari? Otherwise I'll flag it.
Harry Harris says it in his book "The Chelski Revolution", although I found a few things in that book not 100% correct, but I guess it is something.
[edit] Needs NPOV
- "arguably one of the best foriegn players ever to grace England and is a complete Legend"
- "true modern-day football genius"
- "superb free-kicks"
I love Zola too, but let the facts speak of his greatness, not the delirium of us fans. --ChaChaFut 19:01, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
This article is.. really.. really biased towards Zola.
I think that the 10 shirt wasn't really retired by Cagliari. The only retired shirt of my knowledge was the 11 of Gigi Riva.
Great player but i've modified it to be more encyclopaedic Whilding87 21:23, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Total Eclipse of the Heart
Is there any truth to Zola appearing in the video for this power ballad?
There is no evidence of this being true. Sounds like urban legend...
