Gozar is taking a wikibreak and will be back on Wikipedia whenever the work ceases. |
Gozar is an American living in Boston, Massachusetts, USA where he has lived for some twenty-two years. He is currently a student working towards a degree in geology with a biology minor at a university. He regards himself primarily as a geographer, with particular emphasis on environmental geography and this undergirds his interests. Most of his Wikipedia contributions deal with Africa and developing countries, typically the Great Lakes region and Nigeria. He has been involved with Wikipedia since June, 2005. Gozar is proud that the 2005 Kenyan constitutional referendum entry which he authored most of appeared on the Main Page for several days at the end of November, 2005, though he's fairly certain this isn't terribly significant.
He is currently allotting most of his time to Nigeria-related articles via WikiProject: Nigeria and on occassion deals more specifically with issues related to the Niger Delta, particularly in regards to petroleum extraction and resulting strife and environmental degradation in the region. In the future Gozar would like to become actively engaged in remedying this continuously unfolding travesty.
[edit] Handle
The handle "Gozar" is derived from that of Gozer the Gozerian of Ghostbusters fame (by way of some fictitious Sumerian deity of the same name)and is apparently also the Spanish and Portuguese infinitive of the verb which translates as "to enjoy".
