Grip is a cd player and cd-ripping program within the GNOME project. It was registered as a project at the Sourceforge.net open-source website on March 17, 2000 [1] and as of March 23, 2007 was ranked 27,401 out of "more than 100,000 projects" [2] hosted at the site, having been downloaded 204,790 times [3]. It is also included in some Linux distributions and available from other online repositories.
