Guardian (comics)

The name "Guardian" has been used by several comics characters:
- Jim Harper is a DC Comics costumed hero. Jim Harper was a cop in Metropolis' Suicide Slum who became a vigilante to catch crooks that the law could not prosecute. See Guardian (DC Comics)
- James MacDonald Hudson is a Marvel Comics superhero, and founder of Alpha Flight (see Guardian (Marvel Comics))
- Heather Hudson is a Marvel Comics superheroine, who assumed her husband's role and battlesuit when he was believed dead, and continued wearing a (later modified) version after he was revealed to have survived (see Vindicator)
- A younger clone of James MacDonald Hudson (see Guardian (Marvel Comics))
- John Fortress is a superhero named The Ice Guardian who developed superhuman abilities after testing a new exo-suit technology designed at improving strength and speed by way of nanobots that becomes permanently fused to his body during a test accident. The suit eventually becomes sentient.
