From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The count Gurvand of Rennes (died 877), was duke of Brittany, from 874 to his death. He became ruler of Brittany after the murder of Duke Salomon, in the name of his wife, a granddaughter of the first Duke of Brittany, Nominoe, daughter of Erispoe, Duke of Brittany. His accession was disputed with Pasquitan of Vannes, son in law of Duke Salomon. He was the father of Duke Judicael. His daughter married Berengar of Rennes.
