Halton is a district of east Leeds, situated between Killingbeck to the north and north-west, Halton Moor to the west, Colton to the east and Whitkirk to the north-east.
The area is 5 km (3½ miles) to the east of Leeds City Centre and is close to the A63 dual carriageway.
Halton was originally developed as a village, though it has been incorporated into the actual city, and is now a suburb. Housing ranges from detached houses, semi-detached houses and terraced houses.
Halton has recently suffered an increase in crime and anti-social behavior, in particular, criminal damage[1].
The radio DJ Chris Moyles is originally from Halton.
