Hayley Chapman

Hayley Chapman was born in Perth, Western Australia and is an on-air TV presenter.
She launched her TV career when she was seven years old, featuring in a handful of television commercials. It wasn’t until a decade later that Chapman was lured back to the bright lights of Sydney to pursue an on air career.
She completed a Communications degree majoring in Journalism at the University of Technology before setting out on her quest. She worked in many production roles with stints at SBS World Sports, Delco Productions’ music show Ground Zero, C7 Sport, The Seven Network’s The Great Outdoors and the Big Arvo before landing her dream gig on Network Ten’s environmental/wildlife children’s program Totally Wild as a presenter and producer. For almost four years Totally Wild (TW) took Hayley all around Australia reporting on everything and anything. She’s skydived, surfed with Kelly Slater, abseiled, ridden horses, made crafts, patted tigers, adventure caved, interviewed scientists, academics, athletes, environmentalists, musicians and she’s visited schools and even rubbish tips to talk rubbish.
Her highlights while working on TW include trips down the south coast of Western Australia and Thredbo in NSW where she experienced snow for the first time. When not out on the road, Hayley researched and wrote stories not only for herself but for other TW reporters. She became an Ambassador for the World Wide Fund for Nature in 2003.
