Heather Carter is the Liberal Party of Canada's Candidate for the Federal Riding of Niagara West-Glanbrook for the upcoming 2007 Federal Election. She was the past candidate for the 2006 election in the same riding. The riding was won by the Hon. Dean Allison in 2006.Johncaron.ca 02:24, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
I am new to this so please be patient. I did not know that the entire bio would be required immediately. Briefly, Heather Carter is person of note in the Niagara Region. She sits on numerous boards and committees has been responsible for helping to start almost 2000 businesses in the Niagara Falls, Stoney Creek, Grimsby, Beamsville, Welland and St. Catharines area. She developed the Small Business Basics Program at Niagara College and is one of the first internationally recognized Small Business Consultants in Canada through APEC SBC. She has consulted through CEDA to the governments of South Africa and Egypt. Prior to becoming a Politician, Heather was the Manager of the Business Development Centre at Niagara College in St, Catharines. She is the past president of the Small Business Club Niagara, past president of the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise. Currently she sits on the Foundation Board of Niagara College and is actively involved as a member of the Kempenfelt Group, an association headed by the Honourable Dr. Caroline Bennet dedicated to the advancement of women in politics.
