Hector Sam (born February 25, 1978 in Mount Hope) is a professional Trinidadian football player who currently plays as a striker for Walsall.
He attended Queen's Royal College in Trinidad for a short stint.
Sam began his career at San Juan Jabloteh in his native country, before moving to Wrexham in 2000. After five years with Wrexham, he was sold to Port Vale for a fee of £125'000.
Sam left Port Vale in 2006 and signed for Walsall, having initially been on trial with the club.
Sam was named as a backup player for the Trinidad and Tobago national team in the 2006 World Cup. He made his debut for the 'Soca Warriors' in 1990 and earned 20 caps, scoring 2 goals.
