Heinrich Hoffman (painter)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Heinrich Hoffmann (1824 - 1911) was a German painter of the late 19th to early 20th century. He is likely best known for his many paintings depicting the life of Jesus Christ.
Three of his paintings were purchased by John D. Rockefeller, Jr.: Christ in the Temple (1871), Christ and the Young Rich Man (1889), and Christ in Gethsemane (1890). These now are displayed at the Riverside Church in New York City.
