Hengshui is the home of Hengshui College, the college usually employs a number of foreign teachers to aid its English department.

Sights include the wonderful supermarket, Hengshui Temple, the Cultural Revolution Restaurant, the muslim restaurant, a KFC, two department stores and a number of coffee shops.

Hengshui is the seat of the Catholic Diocese of Hengshui.
