Heyshott
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Heyshott is a village approximately 3 miles south of Midhurst in West Sussex. Like many villages it has lost its shop but still has one pub, the Unicorn.
In the 2001 census the parish covered 938 hectares and had 131 households with a total population of 309. 137 residents were economically active.
Heyshott is renowned for its annual "Harvesting the Old Fashioned Way" festival. This occurs every September, celebrating the agricultural history of the village. It is also well known locally for it's Bonfire and Firework display, which is held on 5 November unless this is a Sunday and then it is held on the previous night.
The parish church is dedicated to St James.
