[edit] Reception
These are the current scores For NBA Street Homecourt on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
- IGN 8.8 (Both Platforms)
IGN, It could be the best graphics in any basketball game, but a little cartoony at times. Good, funky sound track and in game sounds. Good line up of players but need a roster update and a classic Jordan. Good gameplay with tons of OMG moments and even six-point combos. The trick remixer is a good edtion to the series that will have players jumping out of their seats. Even footware looked good. But let downs were lack of gamemodes, it gets a little repetitive , and career mode gets boring.
- GameSpot 8.0 (Both Platforms)
GameSpot, GameSpot praises NBA Street on realistic players, outstanding gameplay, good soundtrack, and over the chart dunks. But on the downside, lack of game modes, graphics filter causing problems like clipping or funny looking players, loose basketballs are impossible to pick up, you'll always be dunking because there are never any open shots because players (defence/opponents) can jump 20 feet in the air, tough defense, and wanting more after a game. Later Informing that it was possibly rushed because lack of features and basics.
- GameTrailers 9.0 (Xbox 360 score)
GameTrailers, It is very easy to get to grips with the game, and howas the series has pushed forward, it has become more and more balanced, providing a fun yet unrealistic game of basketball. It's summarized as "NBA Jam meets SSX", with the result being a brilliantly made game that all fans will enjoy. Streetball nuts will think they've died and gone to heaven. Not much storywise, but is not a hit against the game. Create-A-Baller is very intuitive and innovative. Modes are well thought considering gameplay possibilities, and Custom Match will be your most favorite choice.
