Ian Johnston (police)

Ian Johnston is the current Chief Constable of the British Transport Police. The force are responsible for the policing of all railway stations in the Great Britain (excluding Northern Ireland) and some local transport systems, such as Croydon Tramlink.

Johnston was mooted as being the next Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police after the retirement of Sir John Stevens. However, that role was to be given to Sir Ian Blair.
