Ichhra

Ichhra is a commercial and residential area in Lahore, Pakistan.
Ichhra is known as the "heart of Lahore" for it's central location. It is located on Ferozpur road, in between Lahore's upscale and modern area of Gulberg and it's older areas, such as the Anarkali district and the ancient walled city. It comes under Union Council 100 & Data Ganj Buskh Town's administration. Being a very old locality, some very old buildings can be seen in Ichhra. Shadman & Shah Jamal Colony is located in the east, Samanabad is in the west, Rehman Pura in the south and Mozang in the north.
Ichhra is also famous for the Ichhra Bazar, a shopping centre equally popular as Anarkali. It is known for its traditional and cultural dresses and other handicrafts supplied from all over Punjab, as well as its furniture selection. Latif Plaza is a famous gold jewellery market also located in Icchra.
