Thank You
Thanks for Your good words. I Am a French Canadian from Sherbrooke, Quebec. As I have a daily history page on the French Web site of a Quebec radio network, I am glad to be able to contribute to Wikipedia by adding missing names on the daily births and deaths. Igoulet 02:24, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
- You're welcome! It would be great if you could double-check our dates with your dates, many of ours are incorrect (and so might be some of yours, "this day in history" pages on the web are often full of mistakes. I have some experience with this because I am writing "daily anniversaries" for Portal:Germany at Portal:Germany/Anniversaries, for example Portal:Germany/Anniversaries/May/May 5, and I often find inconsitencies between German Wikipedia's and English Wikipedia's date pages and the respective articles). Again, if you need help, just ask on my talk page. Kusma (討論) 02:33, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
I know by experience that mistakes can often be found on "this day in history" pages on the web and have always been very careful about that. I have collected anniversary dates for more than 20 years now, to be included in network radio programs in Quebec, and my database contains more than 9800 of them. I always double-check them for accuracy with at least two reliable sources before adding them to my pages. Unfortunately, it sometimes occurs conflicts between sources, specially for birthdates. But that's life as they say! Regards. Igoulet 15:24, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
They may be right. But sources for Sept. 10 are here: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] Also this (see the very bottom) may indicate my date is correct. Everyking 18:26, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
- A good guess, I think, is that they accidentally doubled their 28s. An easy thing to do when tired or inattentive. Everyking 03:34, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

I first noticed your edits this summer, then I was gone for a while, and sure enough you were still editing when I returned :). Your edits are much appreciated and don't go unnoticed - keep up the great work! Fabricationary 01:22, 24 December 2006 (UTC) |
