This fair use image was downloaded by me (Fowler&fowler «Talk» 17:10, 28 November 2006 (UTC)) from the web site of the Nanda Devi and Valley of Flowers National Parks

Although this image, India1987-SnowLeopard.jpg, may be subject to copyright, I (Fowler&fowler «Talk» 17:10, 28 November 2006 (UTC)) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:

the image will be used only in the Wikipedia article Snow Leopard to illustrate the snow leopard in the wild.
This image is being used purely for an educational purpose.
Since this is a low-resolution image, it will not adversely affect the copyright owner's ability to market the original image.
