The Indian Wahabi movement is a movement to steer Islam to its more fundamental roots similar to the Arabian Wahabi movement. It was founded by Syed Ahmed Brelavi (1789-1831) of to Rai Bareli in India. Its aim was to establish wahabi sovereignty in India or a Dar-ul-Islam.
