It is surprising that in the account of the Second War of Independence , no reference is made ro Garibaldi and his Expedition of the Thousand. This was the key event that enabled Cavour to become the first Prime Miistet md Victor Emmanuel to be the first King of Italy. I casn write more about this another time. This needs to be reworked considerably. It was probably written by an Italian.
