[edit] WP:TT
Hi Ivan, thanks for warning spammers and vandals. Please note that WP:TT templates should always be subst'd and signed: that is, type "{{subst:uw-test1|2007 National People's Congress}} ~~~~" and not "{{uw-test1}}". Cheers. ~~~~ == GPS Insight addition to Vehicle Tracking area of Wikipedia == Hi Ivan - This is Rob Donat again with GPS Insight. I was not 100% on whether or not links to other Wiki pages promoting a relevant product were ok. I put one on the GPS Tracking Wiki page, and see that you removed it due to: (←Undid revision 117629786 by Rdonat (talk) - rv spam (insight already got an article)) I wanted to point out that we are not the same as "Insight USA" but a different (similarly named) company. We are committed to advancing the technology and general awareness of GPS Tracking. Of course we are a for-profit company, but a good one, with lots of open source gurus on our staff, & our Wiki is becoming a big support tool for us, as well as Forums for our users/general interest. I would appreciate your input on how I can add a link to our company on Wikipedia and keep it within the "rules" -- I see Insight USA and GPS Police are out there, & don't know what the differences are between their reference and ours. I understand Wikipedia is not a bulletin board, but I feel we have something useful to contribute, as we have significantly advanced the technology and reduced the price of commercially available GPS Tracking services. We would like to make these advances and innovations known within the rules of posting. Thanks for your help on this, I appreciate it ~~~~ == Saw your comments == Ivan - I did finally see your notes on my talk page, sorry it took me some time to determine their whereabouts. I am not used to the talk: convention, and have finally caught on. I can understand your statement, but if that is the case, then why are there several other GPS Tracking providers' pages left on the GPS Tracking page? Is the problem that I linked to our own external wiki page (which I thought would be preferable) instead of creating a formal Wikipedia page for GPS Insight? @Road, a partner company of ours, has their own, as do other such as GPS Police, Insight USA, etc. I appreciate your advice on how to stay within the guidelines but also get our company reference alongside the others in this industry. Thanks, Rob Donat ~~~~
