Talk:Jade
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There definitely needs to be some expansion here on the significance and massive history of Jade in China.
[edit] what is Jade?
I really dont think this site helps me on anything bout Jade. What is it? what color is it? Where is it found .. blah blah blah.

- Well feel free to add such information.
[edit] Link to Jade Bay?
Should there be a link to Jadebusen on this page? I was looking for information about the Jade Bay, but couldn't find it until I found an entry in Encyclopedia Britannica with Google, which gave the German name, which I then managed to find in Wikipedia. A bit awkward...
The term "Jadebusen" is not related to the Mineral. The name comes from a town and a river nearby. Just coincidence. --84.159.154.91 20:15, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Does any one know if Jade or a Jade like material glows in the dark?
I have a Chinese dragon statue that is a light green such as the picture on the page showing about Jade, but at night when all lights are turned off it glows. It appears to be made of some type of stone as it is very heavy for its size, and the only stone I could think of in this color was Jade. However, I don't know how to find out if it really is Jade. Any help will be appreciated. Contact me at Kristie_Palmer_Warner2003@yahoo.com thanks.
- Many minerals will glow when exposed to ultraviolet light. Some minerals glow when heated a little. Google around a little.
