From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jan Jongbloed (born 25 November 1940 in Amsterdam) was a football goalkeeper with the Netherlands national football team at the 1974 and 1978 FIFA World Cups, wearing the number 8 jersey.
Jongbloed was known as a mobile goalkeeper who would often act as an extra defender, in the style of Gyula Grosics. In terms of clubs, he played with FC Amsterdam, Go Ahead Eagles and Roda JC. The 717 games he played in the Eredivisie is still a record.
